Terms of Service

Effective date: 22 October 2026

The service

Lume is a free AI chat service funded by advertising. By using Lume you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who can use Lume

If you are under 18, use Lume only with a parent or guardian's permission. Sponsored cards are shown only to users who say they are 18 or over.

Using it fairly

Do not use Lume to break the law, to harm others, or to try to disrupt or overload the service. Automated abuse, scraping, or attempts to bypass limits may get your access blocked. Lume runs on a shared daily free allowance so it can stay free for everyone; when it is used up, the service pauses until it resets.

AI answers

Answers are generated by AI and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, even when they sound confident. They are not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for checking anything that matters and for how you use what Lume says.

Accounts and your content

You can use Lume without an account. If you create one, keep your sign in details safe. Your chats belong to you, and Lume stores them only to provide the service, as described on the Privacy page. You can delete your chats or your account in Settings at any time.

Ads

Lume shows clearly labelled sponsored cards to pay for the service. How ads are matched is explained on the Why this ad? page.

Availability and liability

Lume is provided as is, with no promise that it will always be available, accurate, or uninterrupted, and it may change or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, Lume is not liable for losses arising from using it or being unable to use it.

Changes

These terms may change. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continuing to use Lume means you accept it.
